Associations

The British Association of Removers  was formed in 1900 and today represents leading removals and storage companies throughout Great Britain. Member  companies are inspected to ensure that they are operationally and financially sound and follow good practice guidelines, which include:

  • Observing the BAR Code of Pratice
  • Using the BAR Service Specification detailing the precise service to be provided
  • Offering a BAR-approved domestic emergency guarantee
  • Support of BAR-approved recycling programmes. eg: Using packing cartons capable of being recycled
British Association of Removers

The objectives of FEDEMAC are:
To maintain a dynamic organisation which will further the interests of European Movers represented through their continuing membership of the National Removal Association.

This is achieved by providing an umbrella organisation to co-ordinate their efforts, lobby on their behalf, communicate effectively with the media, monitor new developments, promote quality of service and to nourish the integrity of its members in the eyes of the customer.
